SUNNYVALE OPENS HEAT REFUGE DROP-IN CENTER

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The City of Sunnyvale is continuing its efforts to provide refuge from today’s high temperatures by opening rooms at the Community Center for drop-in heat relief.

Anyone seeking relief from the heat may stop by the center, which is air conditioned and will provide a break from the heat. Sunnyvale officials will keep the center open until 8 p.m. tonight (Monday, July 24.) Weather forecasts for Tuesday are for a drop in expected high temperatures and it is not expected the center will need to operate Tuesday.

Sunnyvale Community Center is located at 550 E Remington Drive. There is free parking available and the center is served by VTA Line 55.
