SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Libraries mean different things to different people. What library services, facilities, collections, and programs should the Sunnyvale Public Library provide? A two-hour community forum will be held Wednesday, September 20, in the Library’s Program Room, beginning at 6 p.m. The community is invited to share their thoughts and ideas and help define Sunnyvale’s Library of the Future.
Small focus groups will also be held to explore the Library of the Future question in more depth. Two-hour groups will be held at the Library on Thursday, September 21, beginning at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.; two additional focus groups will be held Sunday, September 24, beginning at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The information provided by the community at these meetings will the be evaluated and used to develop options for Sunnyvale’s Library of the Future.
To attend a focus group, an R.S.V.P. should be made by calling Library Administration at (408) 730-7314 by Friday, September 15. Activities for children will be provided during the Community Forum on Wednesday, September 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again for the focus group on Thursday, September 21 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
