SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Want to hear a preview of Opera San Jose’s upcoming season? How about a musical performance by a local jazz band?

Sunnyvale Public Library is now offering podcasts of some of its most popular and recent events. Ten podcasts are now available and more are being added. Some of the podcasts now available include a “Searching the Internet” class, including PowerPoint slides; a presentation about the History of Sunnyvale’s Hendy Iron Works; stories from Sunnyvale residents about what it was like living and working in Sunnyvale in the 1930s and 1940s, and a conversation with Library Director Deborah Barrow about Sunnyvale’s Library of the Future project. Podcasts are free and may be listened to on a personal computer or downloaded to an MP3 player so you can listen whenever it’s convenient.
