NASA INTERPLANTARY MISSIONS PROGRAM AT SUNNYVALE PUBLIC LIBRARY
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Eric Norris will speak on “The Golden Age of Astronomy is Now – NASA Interplanetary Missions to the Solar System” on Wednesday, November 1 at 7 p.m. at Sunnyvale Public Library. The talk will include current NASA missions such as the Mars Exploration Rovers and Recon-naissance Orbiter, Stardust, Deep Impact, and the New Horizons mission to the former planet Pluto.
Librarian Sara Kempen says, “Eric’s talk is just the kind of science program our high-tech community appreciates.”
Norris has had an interest in astronomy since he was 10 years old and took his first look through a telescope. He built a 10-inch Dobsonian telescope that he still uses. As a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, he has spoken at the Tech Museum and to local organizations. After spending 23 years managing technical writers, he recently shifted his career to law and is now an estate planning attorney.
