AN EVENING WITH OPERA SAN JOSE AT THE SUNNYVALE PUBLIC LIBRARY

 

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The Sunnyvale Public Library will present its annual program, “An Evening with Opera San Jose” on Monday, July 16 at 7 p.m. in the Library Program Room. Everyone is welcome to this free event.

Artists from Opera San Jose will perform selections from the upcoming 2007 – 2008 season, which includes Lucia di Lammermoor, Werther, Rigoletto and The Magic Flute. Scheduled to perform are Khori Dastoor (soprano), Cybele Gouverneur (mezzo-soprano), Christopher Bengochea (tenor) and Kenneth Mattice (baritone). The artists will be accompanied by pianist Veronika Agranov-Dafoe. Larry Hancock, Director of Production/General Manager, will talk about the operas and Opera San Jose.

The Sunnyvale Public Library is located at 665 W. Olive Ave., across from City Hall. Free parking is always available, and VTA line 54 serves the Library.
