SUNNYVALE TO CO-HOST THREE TRAINING COURSES FOR CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The City of Sunnyvale, in partnership with UC Davis Extension, will host three training courses for child care professionals. The programs, “The Business of Family Child Care,” “Serving Children with Special Needs and their Families,” and “Loss, Trauma and Young Children,” are free, and academic credit is available through the UC Davis Extension. Upon receiving a passing grade, students receive 0.1 quarter-system units for each hour of class attended.
Space is limited for all courses, and participants are encouraged to sign up in advance. “The Business of Family Child Care” will be held September 8, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Columbia Middle School staff room, 785 Morse Ave. “Serving Children with Special Needs and their Families” will be held January 26, 2008, and February 2, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Columbia Middle School staff room. “Loss, Trauma and Young Children” will be held June 21, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the Laurel Room of the Sunnyvale Senior Center, 550 E. Remington Drive.
