SUNNYVALE PUBLIC SAFETY INVESTIGATES TWO DEATHS

Bodies found in Iowa Avenue Apartment

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – On Saturday, August 25, at 9:38 a.m., Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers responded to an apartment complex at 1026 W. Iowa Ave. on a welfare check. A foul odor had been reported coming from the apartment. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and female, both dead inside the apartment. One of the deceased has been identified as David Garcia, a 39-year-old resident of the apartment. The other person’s identity is being withheld, pending notification of the next of kin.
