Author Bo Caldwell to Speak at Sunnyvale Public Library

 

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Bo Caldwell, author of The Distant Land of My Father, will speak at Sunnyvale Public Library, Monday, February 25. Caldwell’s book has been chosen as the Silicon Valley Reads 2008 selection. The Distant Land of My Father has been a national bestseller, a Los Angeles Times Best Book of 2001 and a Booksense 76 pick.

Caldwell attended Stanford University and subsequently held a Wallace Stegner Fellowship in Creative Writing and a Jones Lectureship in Creative Writing. She has received a fellowship in literature from the National Endowment for the Arts, an Artist Fellowship from the Arts Council of Santa Clara County and the Joseph Henry Jackson Award from the San Francisco Foundation. Caldwell has written essays and short stories which have been published in various magazines and literary journals.

Caldwell’s presentation will begin at 7 p.m. in the Library Program Room. Everyone is welcome to this free event. Refreshments will be served.
