SUNNYVALE CALLS FOR BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATIONS

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The City of Sunnyvale is seeking volunteers to serve on various advisory boards and commissions. Board and commission members are appointed by City Council to four-year terms. Special requirements or qualifications such as residency, voter registration and professional experience may be required.

Recruitment is currently underway for openings on the following boards and commissions:

• Arts Commission
• Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission
• Board of Building Code Appeals
• Board of Library Trustees
• Child Care Advisory Board
• Heritage Preservation Commission
• Housing and Human Services Commission
• Parks and Recreation Commission
• Personnel Board
• Planning Commission

An informational meeting for candidates to explain the application process and duties associated with service on a City board or commission will be held Tuesday, March 25, at 6 p.m., in the City Hall West Conference Room, 456 W. Olive Ave.

Board and commission candidate interviews will be scheduled in April and May.
