SUNNYVALE CALLS FOR BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATIONS

 

SUNNYVALE, Calif. The City of Sunnyvale is seeking volunteers to serve on various advisory boards and commissions. Board and commission members are appointed by City Council to four-year terms. Special requirements or qualifications such as residency, voter registration and professional experience may be required.

Recruitment is currently underway for openings on the following boards and commissions:

  • Arts Commission
  • Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission
  • Board of Building Code Appeals
  • Board of Library Trustees
  • Child Care Advisory Board
  • Heritage Preservation Commission
  • Housing and Human Services Commission
  • Parks and Recreation Commission
  • Personnel Board
  • Planning Commission

An informational meeting for candidates to explain the application process and duties associated with service on a City board or commission will be held Tuesday, March 25, at 6 p.m., in the City Hall West Conference Room, 456 W. Olive Ave.

Board and commission candidate interviews will be scheduled in April and May.
