SET CLOCKS AHEAD, CHECK SMOKE ALARMS

This Sunday (March 9) marks the start of daylight-saving time, so don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour.

The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety would like to remind you that this weekend is the perfect time to change the batteries in your smoke alarms. National campaigns regularly remind America that the start and end of daylight-saving time are easy reminders to change those batteries, something frequently overlooked. Smoke alarms save lives, but only if yours is in working order.
