TEMPORARY MATHILDA AVENUE LANE CLOSURE IN SUNNYVALE

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Utility construction work related to Sunnyvale’s Town Center redevelopment project will force a three-day closure of a Mathilda Avenue turn lane.

The right turn lane from northbound Mathilda Avenue to eastbound Washington Avenue will be closed around the clock, beginning about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26. Work crews expect to be able to reopen the lane by Friday evening. The northbound lane closure will begin at McKinley Avenue.

During the construction period, right-turns will still be permitted from northbound Mathilda Avenue to eastbound Washington Avenue, but motorists are advised to do so cautiously. Lane closure signage will be posted in the area, and crews will work to minimize traffic impacts.
