Dr. Clara M. Chu to Speak at Sunnyvale Public Library

 

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Dr. Clara M. Chu, Associate Professor at the UCLA Department of Information Studies and an affiliated faculty member at the UCLA Department of Asian American Studies, will present “Mirrors & Windows: Reflecting Our Heritage and Opening Up to New Cultural Horizons” at the Sunnyvale Public Library on Thursday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in the Library Program Room. Refreshments will be served.

Dr. Chu describes herself as “a Peruvian-born Chinese-Canadian residing in the United States.”  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language and literature (major) and psychology and French (minor). She received both her master’s degree and Ph.D. in Library and Information Science at the University of Western Ontario. One of her areas of special competence is multicultural library and information services and education.

The Library is located at 665 W. Olive Ave., across from City Hall.
