mathilda avenue lane closure to begin after memorial day

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The right lane (curb lane) of northbound Mathilda Avenue, between Iowa and Washington Avenues, will be closed for one year, beginning immediately after Memorial Day, to create a safe area to unload structural steel and other building supplies. Occasional closures of additional through-lanes of northbound Mathilda are also expected from time to time.

With the reduced traffic capacity on Mathilda, alternate commute routes, such as Lawrence Expressway, are recommended. Message boards and warning signs will be posted in the area to direct traffic. Construction crews will attempt to minimize the impact on traffic during these closures.
