SUNNYVALE, Calif. – With temperatures expected to reach record highs, heat can become a major health problem. The City of Sunnyvale is opening a drop-in cooling center for the next two days at Sunnyvale Senior Center. The center will operate Thursday, May 15, from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Friday, May 16, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Anyone seeking relief from the heat may stop by the center, which is air conditioned and will provide a break from the heat. Sunnyvale Community Center is located at 550 E Remington Drive. There is free parking available and the center is served by VTA Line 55.
