SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The City of Sunnyvale will host Global Sunnyvale: A Celebration of Cultures on June 21. This first-time City event is designed to highlight many of the diverse cultures represented in the Sunnyvale community.
The festival will include a variety of music, art and entertainment, presented in combinations to display cultural traditions and history. A special effort has been made to include local artists and entertainers, as well as cultural organizations. Information and demonstration booths will provide general and educational information as they also serve to promote local cultural organizations serving the Sunnyvale community.
In many cases, artists and entertainers will draw in members of the audience to participate, furthering the public’s education in other cultures.
Global Sunnyvale: A Celebration of Cultures will take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 21. The event will be held at the City’s Plaza del Sol, 200 W. Evelyn Ave., across from the Sunnyvale multimodal Transit Station and in the heart of downtown.
