SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Andrew Fraknoi, an award-winning author and educator, will present a program highlighting the “Wonderful World of Space” for children ages 5 and older at Sunnyvale Public Library, Saturday, July 12 at 2 p.m. Fraknoi is Chair of the Astronomy Program at Foothill College where he teaches courses on “astronomy and physics for poets,” attended by hundreds of students each year. He is often heard as a guest on local and national news and talk programs. The books he has edited have become some of the leading astronomy textbooks, and now Fraknoi has written a children’s book on astronomy called Disney’s Wonderful World of Space.
Sunnyvale Library is located at 665 W. Olive Ave., across from City Hall. Free parking is always available, and VTA line 54 serves the Library.
