PubWEST Demonstration
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Learn about the advantages of patent searching on the Public Web-Based Examiner Search Tool, PubWEST, in a free class presented by Patent and Trademark Librarian Marjory Cameron at Sunnyvale Public Library, Tuesday, October 14, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
PubWEST was developed for patent examiners at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This collection of databases is now available for free to the public, and only at the USPTO and at U.S. Patent and Trademark Depository Libraries, which includes Sunnyvale’s Library. Find out how searching patents in PubWEST is more flexible and efficient than searching in the USPTO Web site patent databases. Learn about available foreign patent searches and about keyword searches in the older U.S. patents from 1920 to 1975.
The Library is located at 665 W. Olive Ave., across from City Hall. Free parking is always available, and VTA line 54 serves the Library. For more information about Library services and activities, visit www.SunnyvaleLibrary.org or call the Reference Desk at (408) 730-7300, TDD (408) 730-7501.
