Call to Order
Chairman Williams called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
Approval of December 2002 minutes was deferred until next meeting.
Review of Appeal Procedures - Marc Hynes
Include in hearing packet - notice to Board Members to be prepared to discuss additional hearing dates.
Review of Suggestions
Gans moved an award of $200 for Suggestion #01-84, Lower the 3 Water Level Alarm.
Seconded by Williams and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Ron Anima, Public Works.
Gans moved an award of $25 for Suggestion #01-101, Sunnyvale Street Maps. Motion died for lack of a second. Williams moved an award of $75. Motion died for lack of a second. Williams moved an award of $50. Seconded by Gans and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Steve Soriano, Public Works.
Gans moved an award of $200 for Suggestion 01-110, Check Valve Installed on Pre-Aeration Line. Seconded by Williams and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Debra Gomez, Water Polution Control Plant.
Williams moved an award of $100 for Suggestion #DPW-02-11-200, Propane Filling Station. Seconded by Gans and unanimously approved. Suggestor: James LeMasters, Public Works.
Gans moved an award of $100 for Suggestion #DPR-02-12-202, Concrete Ramp for Large City Park Ponds. Seconded by Williams and unanimously approved. Suggestor: James E. Brown, Parks and Recreation.
Gans moved no award for Suggestion #LIB-20-12-203, Setting back the time the library opens to the public to facilitate library holiday bookdrop. Seconded by Williams and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Mrinalini Krithika Yeaneswaran.
City Council Referral: Quality of Life Measures and Objectives - Terilyn Anderson
Gans moved that the Personnel Board accept the staff recommended changes to the Quality of Life Measures and Objectives. Williams asked that the final Quality of Life Index Report include a context for interpreting the results of the measures. Motion unanimously approved.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:09 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Personnel Board will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
