Call to Order
Vice-Chairman Booker called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
Gans moved the minutes of the March 2003 meeting be approved as submitted, seconded by Bushman and unanimously carried.
Review of Disciplinary Appeal Hearing Procedures
Postponed until there is a full, 5-member board.
Review of Suggestions
Gans moved no award for Suggestion #01-103, Recycled Paint for Use on City Property.
Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Paul Jacquemet, Parks and Recreation.
Booker moved that Suggestion #DPS-02-11-201, Fire Prevention Training/Information Binder, be sent back to evaluator for a recommendation. Seconded by Gans and unanimously approved. Suggestor: George Blind, Public Safety.
Gans moved no award for Suggestion DPR-03-2-211, "Can You Tell me Where Building "X" is?". Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Pablo Federico, Parks and Recreation.
Bushman moved an award of $100 for Suggestion #DPR-03-2-212, Bankers Mirror. Seconded by Booker and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Robin Montano, Finance.
Gans moved an award of $175 for Suggestion #DPW-03-3-213, Audible Alarm for Pond Recir Pumps. Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Huey Nguyen, Public Works.
Gans moved no award for Suggestion #HRD-03-4-215, Celebrate National Safety Month - June. Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Crystal Hurd-Kurotori.
Other
The Personnel Board said that is was ok for the Office of the City Manager to send City of Sunnyvale announcements directly to them via email.
Announcements
Loretta Booker announced that she is moving to Arizona. Tonight is her last Personnel Board meeting.
Mark Gregersen announced that the Employee Suggestion Program has been included in the budget reduction recommendations that are before the City Council.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Personnel Board will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
