Call to Order
Acting Chair Bushman called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
Gans moved the minutes of the June 2003 meeting
be approved as submitted, seconded by Bushman and unanimously carried.
Setting of Disciplinary Appeal Hearing Dates
The Appeal Hearing dates chosen for the Parks and
Recreation employee are: September 29, 2003, October 20, 2003 and October 23,
2003 - beginning at 5:30 P.M.
Review of Disciplinary Appeal Hearing Procedures
Marc Hynes, attorney for the Personnel Board,
reviewed the Personnel Board Guide to Disciplinary Hearings with the
Board.
Review of Suggestions
Gans moved no award for Suggestion #01-50, Hands-Free Headsets for Standby
Cell Phones. Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor:
Ray Mallamace, Department of Public Works.
Gans moved no award for Suggestion #01-86, Dog Pound On-Line. Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Dustin Clark, Department of Public Works.
Gans moved no award for Suggestion #01-92, Par Course Sign Posts. Seconded by Agabah and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Steven Wolford, Department of Parks and Recreation.
Gans moved no award for Suggestion #01-108, Circuit Breaker to Main Building Alarm. Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Patter Hatfield, Department of Public Works.
Gans moved an award of $200 for Suggestion #DPW-03-5-217, Supernate Pump Modification. Seconded by Bushman and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Ron Ray, Department of Public Works.
Gans moved an award of $175 for Suggestion #DPW-03-5-218, Soft Blade Modification for Dewatering Tractor. Seconded by Agabah and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Ron Ray, Department of Public Works.
Gans moved an award of $175 for Suggestion #DPR-03-6-220, Tool for Rust Removal. Seconded by Agabah and unanimously approved. Suggestor: Mark Masamori, Department of Parks and Recreation.

The Personnel Board elected Werner Gans as Chair
and Karen Bushman as Vice-Chair for the 2003-04 year.
