PLANNING COMMISSION
The Planning Commission is a seven-member advisory commission that meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Study Sessions are held the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the West Conference Room of City Hall.
The Planning Commission reviews the development and implementation of the Citys General Plan and its various elements. In addition, the Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding zoning, permits, ordinances, and other procedures. PLANNING COMMISSION STUDY SESSIONS Planning Commission Study Sessions are normally held on the second and fourth Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in the West Conference Room of City Hall. This meeting is a "briefing" type discussion between the Planning Commission and City staff members for some applications as determined by the Planning Officer. This is not a public hearing, however, applicants may attend the study session as observers. The only opportunity for speaking would be limited to responses to specific questions directed to the applicant by members of the Planning Commission.
PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARINGS Planning Commission Public Hearings are normally held at on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the west end of City Hall. This hearing is the opportunity for Planning Commission members, project proponents and opponents to be heard in a public forum. The project applicant should attend. Appeals from the decision of the Planning Commission may be made within 15 days of the date of the public hearing.
