Bike-To-Work Day Kickoff Ride May 17

Sunnyvale, CA -- The City of Sunnyvale is celebrating Bike-To-Work Day with three "Energizer Stations" and a kickoff ride on Thursday, May 17.

The Energizer Stations will be at the Sunnyvale Caltrain Station, the corner of Mary and Maude in front of Trimble Navigation, and the intersection of Wolfe and El Camino (Butchers Corner). They will have a big banner above a table of free fruit, water, Hobee's coffee cake, Odwalla bars, and a whole lot of bike related flyers and give-aways. The Energizer Stations will be open from 6 AM – 9 AM.

The kick-off ride will include members of the City Council, boards and commissions, and Public Safety officers. The ride begins at the Energizer Station @ the Sunnyvale Caltrain Station at 7:30 AM and ends at City Hall. Participants of the ride will take a left onto Evelyn, turn right onto Sunnyvale Ave., ride down Sunnyvale until Olive, and take a right onto Olive.

The City of Sunnyvale encourages residents and employees to reduce car trips and has hosted Energizer Stations for the past three years. For more information on ways to get out of the car, see RIDES at http://www.rides.org
