FOURTH ANNUAL COMMUNITY SAFETY FAIR AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Sunnyvale, CA (9/26/02)--Sunnyvale residents are invited to a Community Safety Fair and an old-fashioned Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, October 12, 2002.  Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  This year’s event is located at Sunnyvale Fire Station #2, on the corner of Wolfe Road and Arques Avenue.

Public Safety officers, City staff, and community partners are hosting a morning of interactive activities and great food.  In addition to a variety of safety-oriented booths, the event features fire engine rides, tours of the fire-training tower, the arrival of a LifeFlight helicopter, and local celebrity chefs.  Guests can vote for their favorite chef by “tipping” them. The chef with the most tips wins a special award.  There will also be a silent auction for two ‘Firehouse Dinners for Four.’

Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee. A donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 years old and younger is appreciated.  All proceeds from breakfast, tips, and the silent auction go to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation at www.aarbf.org .
