SUBJECT: Acceptance of Improvements C Slurry Seal Maintenance Contract for Streets (ST-98-01) – RTC98-293
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council, by resolution, accept the project as complete and satisfactory.
DISCUSSION
The Contractor, Bond Blacktop, Inc., has satisfactorily completed the Slurry Seal Maintenance Contract for Streets project within the allocated budget and for the final contract amount of $216,293.42.
The work included installation of slurry seal on 102 streets, 27 courts, 3 off-street parking areas, and 7 parking lots, including the Corporation Yard’s front lot, that needed surface rejuvenation treatment of the existing pavement.
The work was done as part of the annual maintenance program for City streets.
The project was inspected by the Public Works Field Services Division and found to be satisfactory. Acceptance is, therefore, recommended.
