SUBJECT: Pre-Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of August 24, 1998 and the Administrative Hearing Agenda of August 26, 1998

REPORT IN BRIEF

This report represents Planning Commission and Administrative Hearing items that may be pre-appealed by a majority vote of the Council. Council should indicate those items on which it wishes to have expanded notification.

A. Pre-Appeal of the Planning Commission Agenda of August 24, 1998

1. 1998-0441 – Ga-Wta Kifer LLC (Howard J. White III)– Application for a Use Permit to allow for a new, 3-story, 88,000 sq. ft. office building at 38.3% Floor Area Ratio where 35% Floor Area Ratio is allowed. The property is located at 1400 Kifer Road in an M-S (Industrial and Service) Zoning District. (APN: 216-27-030, 031) KR (Mitigated Negative Declaration)

2. 1998-0638 – City of Sunnyvale (Nextel of California, Inc.): Application for a Use Permit to allow installation of a wireless antenna on an existing monopole, ancillary ground facility and trellises. The property is located at 700 All America Way in a PF (Public Facilities) Zoning District. (APN: 165-02-003) GL (Negative Declaration)

3. 1998-0697 - Lockheed Missiles, Space Company, Inc. (Nextel of California): Application for a Use Permit to allow installation of wireless telecommunication facilities mounted on the roof of building #104 and ancillary ground facilities. The property is located at 1111 Lockheed Way in an M-3 (General Industrial) Zoning District. (APN: 110-02-061) KR (Negative Declaration)

 

B.    Pre-Appeal of the Administrative Hearing Agenda of August 26, 1998

1. 1998-0743 – James R. Casellanos Trustee (The Hagman Group): Application for a Use Permit to allow an addition of 1,000 sq. ft. to an existing auto repair building. The property is located at 1170 Willow Avenue in an M-S/ITR (Industrial and Service/Industrial to Residential) Zoning District. (APN: 213-01-001) BRS

2. 1998-0860 – Steven and Virginia Pavlina Trustee (David Y. Cho): Application for a Special Development Permit to allow a restaurant use within an existing shopping center. The property is located at 572 E. El Camino Real in a C-2/PD (Highway Business/Planned Development) Zoning District. (APN: 211-20-029) KR

 

RECOMMENDATION

The Council should review the agenda and appeal an application where appropriate.
