COVID-19 Safety Protocols

You must follow all COVID-19 safety protocols.

Masks

Regardless of vaccination status masks are REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE in the following settings:

  • Inside all City facilities and park buildings
  • Youth Programs (both indoors and outdoors)
  • Aquatic facilities

Masks may be REMOVED when participants are:

  • Inside the swimming pool
  • Actively using the showers inside locker rooms
  • Actively eating/drinking

IMPORTANT: Valve masks and gaiter masks are NOT ALLOWED.

Following Participation Policies

To participate in any Sunnyvale classes or activities you are responsible for reading and following the Participation Policies noted on this page.

BEFORE you leave your home to come to your class or activity ANSWER the Health Screening Questions in the Participation Policies. If you answer “YES” STAY HOME. Give Sunnyvale Recreation notification by email.

NOTICE: If you fail to comply with the activity requirements you may be asked to leave, be denied entrance or forfeit activity privileges.

Financial Aid

The City’s Fee Waiver Program offers financial assistance for activities and camps. Eligible Sunnyvale residents can apply to receive $234 per child (17 and under), per fiscal year, to help pay activity or camp registration costs at the full rate. Approval is based on Sunnyvale residency and income qualifications.
