Public Computers and WiFi

Access the internet on your own device or from one of the Library’s high-speed internet computers. Sunnyvale Public Library provides free Wi-Fi to all visitors and use of internet-enabled computers for Library members ages 8 and older.

Public Computers

Using the Library’s High-speed Internet Computers

  • Access is limited to 180 minutes per user, per day.
  • Library Card and PIN are required to sign in (Your PIN is set when you first create your account and is between 4 and 8 digits long).
  • Users must abide by the Library's Internet Policy.

Internet Use for Children Ages 8 to 12

  • Access to four computers in the Library's Children's area (limited to 120 minutes per user, per day)
  • Parents are required to provide permission.

Internet Use for Teens Ages 13 to 17

  • Access to six computers in the Library's Teen area (limited to 180 minutes per user, per day)

All Internet Computers Are Equipped With:

  • Web browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Ability to use USB devices to save or attach files
  • Headphone jack
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Access to print in black and white or color

Wi-Fi Access

  • Wireless network is named Sunnyvale-Library and does not require a Library card for access.
  • User agreement to the Library's Wi-Fi Policy is required to use this network.
  • Speeds will vary depending on location within the Library and the number of simultaneous users.
  • Power outlets are available throughout the Library for personal devices.


  • Prints can be made from personal devices and Library computers.
  • Wi-Fi printing is also available from your mobile device. Wi-Fi Printing Instructions.

Printing Costs

  • Black-and-white prints are 15 cents each.
  • Color prints are 35 cents each.
  • Faxing is offered for 50 cents per page.
  • Scanning to USB or email is free.

Pay with cash, credit card, debit card or virtual wallet at the Pay-for-Print Station in the Print and Copy Alcove.
