Marigold Series - Diwali and Day of the Dead Events

Join us in October for Diwali and Day of the Dead Events. All ages are welcome.

Day of the Dead - Day of Remembrance

When: Wednesday, Oct. 16, 5-6 p.m. (ages 6+)

Where: Sunnyvale Public Library, Program Room

  • Share experiences and traditions
  • Bring a picture to place on the community ofrenda
  • Special themed craft to learn about the symbolism of the day

Diwali - Festival of Lights

When: Saturday, Oct. 19, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (all ages)

Where: Senior Center, Orchard Pavilion, 550 E. Remington Dr.

  • Live music 
  • Dance performers
  • Arts and crafts 
  • Henna painting

Día de los Muertos Celebration

When: Wednesday, Oct. 23, 4-6 p.m. (all ages)

Where: San Miguel Elementary School, Multipurpose Room, 777 San Miguel Ave.

  • Special performance by local Aztec dancers
  • Presentation about the customs and traditions
  • Arts and crafts
  • Face painting
