ON HOLD: Adult Library Bookmark Contest

The bookmark contest is postponed due to the Library closure. We will consider continuing the contest once it is clear when we will be open again.

Help us design new Library bookmarks. Create original artwork using the theme “Find your place at the Library.”

One adult winner will have their artwork printed on Sunnyvale Public Library bookmarks to be distributed during National Library Week, April 19 to 25, 2020. We will post the artwork of runners up on the Library’s social media pages.

Who can participate? Sunnyvale Public Library card holders, ages 18 and up.

How long does the contest run? Submissions accepted March 1 to 31, 2020. Winner announced in April.

How do I participate? Bring in your original art, along with a completed submission form to the Information Desk in the Sunnyvale Public Library, 665 W. Olive Ave.

  • Artwork must be 2 ¾" by 8 ½" on paper no thicker than 3/8"
  • All mediums accepted, provided they fit the required dimensions.

Judging Criteria:

  1. Interpretation of theme
  2. Originality
  3. Creativity 
  4. Artistic merit
