Library Bookmark Contest

Celebrate Summer Reading and help us design a special Library bookmark. Create original artwork using the theme “How Does the Library Color Your World?

Two winners (one adult, one youth) will have their artwork printed on Sunnyvale Public Library bookmarks to be distributed in the library. We will post the artwork of runners up on the Library’s social media pages.

Who can participate? All Sunnyvale Public Library card holders.

How long does the contest run? Submissions accepted July 1 to 31, 2021. Winner announced in August.

How do I participate? Bring in your original art, along with a completed submission form to the Information Desk in the Sunnyvale Public Library, 665 W. Olive Ave. 

  • Artwork must be 2 ¾" by 8 ½" on paper no thicker than 3/8"
  • All mediums accepted, provided they fit the required dimensions.

Judging Criteria:

  • Interpretation of theme
  • Originality
  • Creativity 
  • Artistic merit

Entry Requirements

  1. Only one entry per person.
  2. All entries must be accompanied by a signed and completed submission form, (see link below). 
  3. You must be a Sunnyvale Public Library card holder.
  4. Artwork must be 100% produced by the contestant.
  5. Artwork must be a two-dimensional work, sized 2 ¾ inches by 8 ½ inches, or use the template provided. *All mediums accepted, provided they fit the required dimensions.
