In response to the pandemic, the Sunnyvale Public Library leadership team has developed the following phases or service levels:
1Sidewalk service includes material pickup and return, new library cards, and limited staff assistance from an outdoor service point on the Library plaza.
2Significant restrictions could include limits, such as for seating, PC and self-check use. Limits may also include how many people are permitted access to the Library or in-person programs.
3Reduced restrictions could include improvements from Level 3 such as reduced or eliminated restriction on number of people inside the facility, expanded seating capacity, expanded PC access, small group programs, and increased staff assistance.
The Library’s goal is deliver library services to the fullest extent it is safe to do so. A determination of the level of service, as outlined above, will depend on a number of factors including:
When service changes are implemented, an email notice will be sent to all subscribers to the Library’s email lists.
