About 5,000 small businesses provide the goods and services we rely on every day in Sunnyvale. They are our favorite repair shops, restaurants, florists, salons, grocers and more. Many owners and their employees are struggling to survive in this challenging time. They need us now more than ever. Show them Sunnyvale Cares by donating to help with their expenses. Your donation is tax deductible and businesses get 100% of the funds.

To help small businesses impacted by COVID-19 the City created the Sunnyvale Cares Small Business Assistance Grant Program. We committed up to $600,000 in one-time matching funds to the program. Helping launch the program, additional donors include Google ($300,000), LinkedIn ($100,000), Intuitive Foundation ($200,000) and the Jay Paul Company ($100,000). The Enterprise Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is the City’s partner to administer the program.
The program offers grants up to $15,000 for qualified small businesses. Businesses must have from one to fifty full-time employees. Restaurants may have up to 100 full-time employees.
Grant funds may be used to cover payroll, rent, inventory and personal protective equipment.
