Home MenuRecycled Water Fill Station
Recycled water is a safe and affordable alternative to potable water. We now offer recycled water for commercial use, such as for construction projects. The water is available at a fill station at our Water Pollution Control Plant. Recycled water is not currently available for residential use.
How do I get started?
Submit a Recycled Water Fill Station Permit Application (below). Allow 7 to 10 business days for us to process your application. We will contact you once approved. You must then attend an on-site training and vehicle inspection. After completion you will receive your use permit. You may add extra vehicles or drivers later.
What is the cost and invoicing process?
Recycled water costs $4.44/CCF (1 CCF = 748 gallons). We will invoice you quarterly.
Where is the recycled water fill station?
The recycled water fill station is at:
Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant (Map)
1444 Borregas Ave.
Sunnyvale, CA 94088
Fill Station Hours: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
What is the process for picking up recycled water?
Present your permit and driver's license during check-in at the Plant's lobby. Go to the fill station and connect to one of the hydrants. You will need to bring your own hose. We will unlock the hydrant and oversee the fill process. When done, check out at the lobby.
Where can I use recycled water?
You can only use our recycled water within City limits. And only at the sites listed on your permit application. See your permit application for all approved uses. If you need to add more sites to your permit contact us.
