Water Quality Report
The City regularly monitors the quality of its wells and all water purchased from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and Santa Clara Valley Water District to ensure that the drinking water it provides meets or exceeds all federal and state drinking water standards.
City crews perform regular maintenance of the water system to ensure that we can continue to deliver the highest quality water possible.
Water Fluoridation
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission fluoridates the water it provides to the City of Sunnyvale in response to the California's Fluoridated Drinking Water Act, Assembly Bill 733, which became law in 1995 and required water systems with 10,000 or more service connections to fluoridate once funding was available.
